Favorite place to read a book:

Airplanes & my bed. For audiobooks, long walks.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with:

Sadie Green in Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I would love to ask her about her relationship to Max from her perspective. I would also ask her if she was ever in love with him.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:

In sixth grade I won an award for writing excellence, which of course means nothing now. I went to school for journalism, but always preferred the creative writing courses. Ultimately, I didn't see myself writing in the journalism format as I was always coloring outside the lines.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook:

I love a paperback. I like to fold it, it fits better in a bag. It's lighter. I like to watch the covers and spine crease as I get through the book, Harback I love visually, it doesn't feel as practical for travel, but I love a beautiful Hard cover book. Ebook, I would love, but my kindle is never charged. Also reading is an opportunity to not use screens. Audiobooks are great on the go, doing things around the house, walks, you can also increase the speed to get through one faster if you're really into it!

The last book I read:

The Tell, by Amy Griffin. This one I listened to on an audiobook for a trip. I loved her voice, I loved the detailed descriptions of her town in Texas and her childhood. I love that she shared her story, which was incredibly brave.

Pen & paper or computer:

Given that I cannot read my own handwriting, definitely a computer!

Book character I think I’d be best friends with:

I read a lot of non fiction and I love comedy. While I know Chelsea Handler is not a fictional character, I love her essays, and we'd would probably get along great. I just read "I'll have what she's having". She seems like a good time, and a no B.S. kind of person, which I always respect.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:

A comic, and a rockstar. I love music and I love to sing. Also would love to work for the behavioral science unit of the FBI. I got my masters in Forensic Psych.

Favorite decade in fashion history:

I would probably say the 80's because it was so completely ridiculous and a really wild time for fashion. Other than that, most likely 70's.

My signature drink:

Tequila. Often with soda and lime juice. Sometimes a spicy margarita.

Favorite artist:

This is hard. It would probably be music. I am a massive Pearl Jam fan, I love Bonnie Raitt, and James Taylor. In fact, I named my son after James Taylor. Art wise, I am Bruce Prince fan, so many more. Hard to choose.

Number one on my bucket list:

Having lost my father young, I know tomorrow isn't promised. I try to live out my bucket list items as much as possible. One that's still left is hiking the happiness trail in Nepal.
