Listening to audiobooks has transformed my reading experience, allowing me to immerse myself in stories during commutes, workouts, or while relaxing at home. A skilled narrator can breathe life into characters, setting, and plot, making the narrative resonate deeply. One series that exemplifies this synergy between story and narration is Sarah J. Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses. In today's post, I'll delve into the narrators who have brought this captivating fantasy romance series to life.

The last book I read was 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' by Sarah J. Maas. I'm really late to the Sarah J. Maas party, and I love it - I've bought the rest of the series already. I wasn't sure if I'd like them as I'm not a huge fantasy lover, but she really brings the characters to life. It reminds me a little of reading A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, thinking it wouldn't be for me, but being pleasantly surprised by how relatable it can be, despite the faeries and dragons! - Gina DiBenedetto

What Is A Court of Thorns and Roses About

A Court of Thorns and Roses follows the story of nineteen-year-old Feyre Archeron, a huntress who inadvertently kills a faerie wolf in the woods. As retribution, she's taken to the faerie lands of Prythian by Tamlin, a High Lord of the Spring Court. Initially a prisoner, Feyre's feelings evolve as she uncovers the complexities of the faerie realm and the looming threats it faces. The narrative intricately weaves themes of love, sacrifice, and resilience, drawing inspiration from classic tales like Beauty and the Beast.

I'd like to think that if I was stuck in an elevator with Manon Blackbeak from Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass series, she would a) not kill me and b) find a way to get us out of there because being stuck in an elevator is my WORST nightmare! - Katharyn Blair

The last book I read was Crown Of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. Fantasy is not my "go to genre,” however, my dad convinced me to read Karen Marie Moning's "Fever" series, and I loved it. I've been looking for a similar series and finding the Maas novels has fit that format perfectly. The characters, especially the main female character, are strong and fearless and they challenge your thoughts of what I would do in that position. The characters are also flawed, insecure, and hopelessly human at times. Along with a well-imagined story line and imaginary world, it's a page turner that has kept me yearning for the next book. - Lee Adams
